On July 20, 2022, REAL Houston partnered with Pattern Energy to give our members the rare opportunity to tour a local operation control center.

Pattern shared a glimpse of what it’s like to transition the world to renewable energy and let us peek behind the curtain to see how they operate a global portfolio of renewable energy projects from their Houston Operation Control Center. They also introduced us to the operations experts who keep their fleet of renewable projects running safely and reliably.

The event was part of our Early Career Professionals (ECP) programming, a subset of REAL Houston focused on building a dynamic group of young professionals working or aspiring to work in renewable energy, clean technology and the energy transition; and providing them with tools and opportunities to learn more about the industry.
