All careers are journeys – how do you avoid potholes and speed bumps as you navigate your career? On March 7, 2024 REAL’s Early Career group hosted a special program to answer questions you may not know you have as you progress on your journey.

The fireside chat featured Eboni Taylor – Head of Human Resources and Administrative Services at ConnectGEN, a senior HR professional with experience in renewable energy as well as oil and gas. Eboni and Kay McCall, a former renewable energy CEO, conversed about how to avoid common mistakes when seeking a job, as well as how to set yourself up for long term success.

This program is suitable for professionals with fewer than 10 years of work experience and students.

Speaker Bio

Eboni Taylor currently serves as the Head of HR and Administrative Services for ConnectGEN Management LLC. She joined ConnectGEN in 2022 with over 15 years of experience across various functions within HR operations. Eboni received her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Baylor University and Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Houston Baptist University. Which led to a 14 year career in the oil and gas industry plus a few years consulting with a focus on Organizational Talent and Transformation.

Throughout her career, Eboni has had the opportunity to sit on many panels and volunteer across organizations to share advice for people at various stages of their careers as well as lead sessions on leadership development and coaching. She is excited to now lend her expertise in the renewables space and is looking forward to continuing to optimize opportunities to help individuals and organizations as they evolve.
